Reiko-san’s Moolelo (Story):
A student of the “art of GEISHA” all of her life, Reiko-san became one of Japan’s
most famous KUBUKI Theatre artists in Japan. However, she always wanted to
study acting in the US. So, she saved her money and, even against her parent’s
wishes, she left the traditional women’s role in Japan and took her adventure to
N.Y.C. She found her place, her career, and a new life – building on the arts,
culture, and love she also had for her home country in Japan. The MASKS were
removed and now, Reiko-san shines in her own light!
“Hopefull Handbags”, an organization dedicated to supporting women of domestic abuse, was founded by Cathlene Miner as a tribute to her Grandmother. Now, a global effort, Hopefull Handbags provides shelter, education, training, support and empowerment to thousands of women worldwide. “Together We Are Stronger!”
Proceeds go directly to Hopefull Handbags, Raising Hope, Help, and Support to Survivors of Domestic Abuse. Start your Journaling Journey with journaling tips here.
