All items below were handmade by survivors in Uganda. Coordinating with the Hopefull Handbags Affiliate Uganda, the items were purchased wholesale, and all proceeds from purchases will go directly back to the HH Uganda Affiliate to provide survivor support.

    The earrings are made from the wood of the Maasai Tree. This tree is found throughout the plains of Central Africa. Widely featured in African movies such as "Lion King," the coil in the center of the earrings reveals the product's birth place. Proceeds will go back to helping the women getting back on their feet again in the communities where these items were made.

    These exotic earrings are made from the Maasai tree found in  Africa. Widely featured in African movies such as "The Lion King." The material was shaped into the leaves, painted green and interwoven by brightly colored nylon to remind its owner of the exotic and brightly coloured flora and fauna  found in the  luscious rainforest of Central Africa. Proceeds will go back to helping the women getting back on their feet again in the communities where these items were made.

    The lady who made this piece was inspired by "The Rain Queen." The Balobedu tribe in the Limpopo province of South Africa is ruled by the Rain Queen. She is believed to have special powers including the ability to control the clouds and rainfall. Proceeds will go back to helping the women in the communities where these items were made.
